Gavin Argyle
Managing Director

Gavin Argyle has 35 years of management experience in the industrial, mining, technology and healthcare sectors, whilst over this period was investing in both private and public companies on behalf his family and clients/friends. This focused on M&A and capital raisings for more than 50 public companies and 7 private companies, mostly in Australia and Canada. In 2019, Gavin founded Peak Iron Mines Pty Ltd and commenced mining operations (currently exporting 2.5mtpa of iron ore from South Australia) and is currently progressing mining approvals for an additional 5mtpa.

Prior to co-founding Capital Investment Partners Pty Limited (CIP) in 2007, Gavin founded (what is now) The Market Herald Limited in 2006, which now has 80 direct employees and is the dominate player in its industry sector in both Australia and Canada. Prior to this, Gavin was Chairman of TCC Holdings Pty Ltd having 500 direct employees (due to its dominant market position in coatings, insulation and rubber lining) having participated in the construction and maintenance of almost every major resource project in Western Australia. In 2007, TCC was sold to an international EPC company.

In 1999, Gavin founded Global Doctor Limited (GDL) having 300 medical staff providing emergency assistance, evacuations and healthcare. GDL had the largest number of western medical clinics in Asia, was accredited by most of the international assistance industries and insurers and was used by the Australian, Canadian and NZ governments for immigration medicals. In 2005, GDL was acquired by a major international assistance company.

In the 1990s, Gavin was an Investment Banker with Hartleys Limited and Paterson Securities Limited, having started his investment career with stockbroker Saw James Limited. Prior to Saw James Limited, Gavin was one of 16 Senior Staff Members at Western Mining Corporation Ltd working at Kambalda and managing 10 mines (open-pit and underground) employing 3,000 staff. He has served on the board of Australian, Canadian and US private and public companies in executive and non-executive positions. Gavin's qualifications include finance degrees from the University of Western Australia and the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania.
